An Outbreak that is not as ordinary as its Symptoms
A disease that
spreads body to body or person to person is called contagion or a viral disease
like flu and cough.
Today, the
whole world is facing a disaster that is called Coronavirus (COVID-19). This
virus has changed the plight of the world entirely. Even the most advanced and
developed countries are helpless before it because it is a new brand virus so
far and there is no vaccine of it been invented.
The effects of
this virus beyond the expectations. Initially, people made mistakes to
understand it and took very lightly. But when its results revealed, there is no
way to run. This virus spread very swiftly and made the survival pretty hard.
It compels the world health organization not to drink alcohol which is a health
disaster. It also forced all institutions of the health to say that beast,
predatory birds, blood, dead and diseased animals are destructive to health. Do
not think of this disease as a joke and do not take a non-serious view of it.
People who live
in hot areas believe that this virus will die from heat, in the same people who
live in cold areas say that this disease will end. These concepts are wrong.
Without a vaccine, it cannot be handle. corona has proved a dreadful monster
that swallowed many thousand lives and cut social life. It also changed our
social behavior. In our daily life, many things we neglect that we should not.
Such things or acts of our lives are called normal life schedule. It contains
manners and ethics of life.
For instance,
there is a saying "Safety is first"
Everyone knows
that we should take care of each risky work, especially when other's lives are
involved.
‘AIDS’ is a
disease that is still incurable and now Corona.
“Prevention is
better than cure” this one saying is a great solution at all times. Whether
there are high medical facilities present or absent. Why this Coronavirus
becoming lethal day by day because our attitude towards it, is not serious in
all fields of life. We need to review our gestures and movements Corona is not
ordinary and feeble virus. In this world where life is more comfortable, there
are more complications. Comforts bring always carelessness and carelessness is
a cause of illness. We need to change our social interests along with to make
our habits healthy. In this way, we can be safe from these fatal diseases. I am
not teaching you here hygienic principles, just reminding them.
If the
coronavirus crisis has brought home anything, it’s that we — each folks,
separately and together — can change the system. Remember how distant that
strange virus from Wuhan appeared to many folks when it first hit the headlines
in early January? That was just a couple of weeks ago. It’s a strong
demonstration of our current global condition of interconnectedness. We are
many. We are one. Now we'd like to slow the spread of the virus, to flatten the
curve, to avoid the huge, unnecessary suffering of these among us who happen to
be the elderly, the uninsured, the working poor who live from paycheck to
paycheck, the parents who are alone and with none safety net. Self-isolation
and social distancing aren't about you; they’re about protecting the especially
vulnerable people. In short: Your behavior changes the system. Your mindful
behavior is required to avoid a breakdown of the system. Approach that for an
extended period was weak on government action — both in terms of control
measures and testing. But if you have no effective regulation and no reliable
data when facing a pandemic, it’s like running in the forest while blindfolded.
The result is massive suffering and death among vulnerable people, for instance
when older people in need of care are turned away from hospitals. That is the
very path the US now appears to be on.
A third group
of countries, however, seems to have found a middle way. Singapore, Hong Kong,
Taiwan, and South Korea all have had noteworthy success in navigating the
pandemic without imposing draconian controls or citizen surveillance. South
Korea significantly slowed the spread of COVID-19, and Singapore, Hong Kong,
and Taiwan succeeded in preventing a massive outbreak in the first place. As of
today, March 16, Hong Kong has 141 confirmed cases, Singapore has 212, and
Taiwan has 53. How did they do that? To slow the spread of the virus we need to
change our collective behavior. We can accomplish this in two ways: through (a)
timely government response and (b) testing-based citizen awareness and action.
China, after a slow start, navigated the pandemic by relying mostly on the
former (draconian lockdowns, quarantine, and social distancing, including
movement surveillance of the entire population), which worked surprisingly
well.
