As a person ages, his memory weakens. But
everyone can maintain their memory for a long time by taking precautions. It is
not difficult to adopt the following measures.
(1). Brain-strengthening foods
These foods are high in omega-3 fats,
glucose (proven grains) and antioxidants. In addition, eat five to six meals a
day. The reason is that eating small amounts of food from time to time
maintains blood glucose levels and the brain receives energy mainly from
glucose.
- (2) Keep the mind busy
Engage in activities that exercise the
brain, such as solving puzzles and playing crossword puzzles. These activities
exercise the brain and keep it active.
(3). Keep the body fit
Take brisk walks every morning or evening
and do stretching exercises. These exercises not only increase the white matter
of the brain but also create more neuronal (cellular) connections.
(4). Don't let the pressure increase
Exercise also helps reduce mental and
physical stress. In fact, this pressure causes the body to produce a chemical
called cortisol, which shrinks the brain's memory centers. In addition, worship
and meditation are helpful in enhancing memory.
(5). Check the steel level
The special neurotransmitters in our brain
cells keep our memory in good condition. And they themselves are powered by
steel. So don't let your body be deficient in this important mineral. Men and
women who are deficient in iron usually become obese.
- (6) One job at a time
Many men and women eat while listening to
the news on TV and sometimes even read the newspaper. The problem is that they
don't remember the news they heard or the material they read. This is not a
healthy way to eat.
In fact, when we do two or more tasks at a
time, the brain shifts the processing to areas that do not store memories in
detail. But when one thing is done at a time, the brain preserves even the
details.
(7). Control Cholesterol
Excess cholesterol in the human body is a
very dangerous process. It not only accumulates fat in the arteries of the
heart. Even in the brain, clots form in the blood vessels. Because of them, the
brain does not get valuable nutrition and gradually loses its memory. To be
clear, even a small amount of fat in the brain closes the veins. So keep your
cholesterol in moderation.
(8). Keep an eye on the medicine
Many drugs have a negative effect on human
memory and it is noteworthy that the older a person is, the longer the drug
stays in his body. Medications that affect the memory system include
anti-depressants, beta-blockers, chemotherapy, Parkinson's drugs, sedatives,
painkillers, antihistamines, and statins.
(9) - Eat an apple daily
The high levels of antioxidants in apples
produce the chemical acetylcholine. This neurotransmitter found in the brain is
essential for good memory. In addition, the antioxidants listed above protect
the brain from unhealthy free radicals
(10)-Solve the puzzle
Twice a month, easily solve puzzles of your choice. They can also be in the form of an enigma. This is an exercise in the mind and improves memory.
(11)-Take an interest in mathematics
Take an interest, in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division questions. This knowledge will help you improve your memory.
