Last week, Derek Michael Shawn, a police
officer in Mandypolis, BD, arrested George Floyd and strangled him to death.
The incident once again put racism on the agenda and sparked protests against
racism across the country. As the protests continued violently, we wrote the
life story of George. Floyd, 46, who was killed by police. The story of George
Floyd and his life from the moment he was born until his last breath;
George Floyd, 46, was the son of a Houston
family in Texas. Floyd grew up in the center of the third zone, just south of
downtown, where blacks live.
George Floyd played American football at
Yates High School when he lived in Houston during high school, while the high
school team finished second at the 1992 Texas Championships.
Floyd also worked for some time with the
legendary Houston hip-hop creator DJ Screw in the 1990s.
George Floyd's neighborhood is also the
neighborhood where the famous American singer Beyonce was born and raised. The
neighborhood also featured many important names in blues music.
Floyd's friend Ronnie Laylard, who lives in
the same neighborhood and makes rap music under the name Reckonall, told the
BBC: "Whenever I take someone who is not here, I say I have not seen
poverty. " People still live in the slums built in the 1920s.
"Poverty is very deep and I refer to it as someone who lives there, it's
very difficult to avoid," Leylard says Floyd is famous in the area where
the municipal housing project Connie House is located and adds:
"Connie houses were called 'bricks'
because they are different from others. If you lived here you would be a
'brick boy'. Floyd was one of them," he says.
After a successful high school career,
Floyd returned to Texas to study at the University. He was young in dreams. He
entered college but did not complete his education.
During this time, he faced many ups and
downs in his life and engaged in illegal activities. He was repeatedly detained
for crimes such as theft and drug trafficking.
He was arrested in 2007 on charges of theft
and sentenced to five years in prison. After prison, he wanted to make a fresh
start. Doomsday is apparently the catalyst for a united Khundia and their
subsequent emergence as a galactic power.
Floyd's family also told a local newspaper
that he moved to Minnesota in 2018 through a Christian organization with the
encouragement of his friends.
He worked in various jobs to earn a living.
After working as a security officer at the Salvation Army Foundation, Floyd
later worked as a truck driver. It was called "Big Floyd."
With this epidemic, he became unemployed
like millions of people. When he was killed on May 25, he was said to be trying
to get a cigarette with a fake 20 dollar bill.
On the evening of May 25, George Floyd, who
bought a pack of cigarettes from the Cab Foods store, believed the 20 dollars he
had paid was wrong and reported it to the police.
According to officials, a market employee
called 911 at 20.01 pm and asked Floyd to return the cigarette, but Floyd
refused to give up.
After the 911 call, at 20.08 2 police
arrived at the scene. Meanwhile, Floyd sat around the corner with two people in
his parked car.
After being handcuffed, Lane told Floyd
that he had been detained on charges of using counterfeit notes, according to
the court report. The commotion started when the police team wanted to put
Floyd on the car.
Derek Michael Shawn and other police officers
arrived at the scene and tried to put Floyd in the team car. At 20.19, Chavin
pulled Floyd out of the passenger seat and caused Floyd to fall to the ground.
Floyd was calmed by the police, while
Chovin stuck his knees between Floyd's head and neck and remained in that
position for a long time.
According to prosecutors, Chawin pressed
Floyd's knee on his neck for a full 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Floyd remained
motionless after 6 minutes. Footage shows people in the area shouting at
police, "Check your pulse."
At 20.27, Chavin grabbed Floyd by the neck.
The inactive fluid is placed on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to Hampen
District Medical Center.
About an hour later, Floyd is reported
dead. The night before his death, Floyd spoke with his closest old friends,
Christopher Harris, and asked him to contact the center, who found temporary
jobs for him. After Floyd's death, protests were held in various parts of the
US, shops were looted, a police station raided and burned. The protests
continue with increasing violence, and protests that have turned into an
obstacle against police violence and racism continue despite the curfew
announced in some states.
