Fenugreek is cultivated in almost all parts
of Pakistan and India. Its plant height is one to one and a half feet, leaves are
somewhat round, granular 1/2 to one and a half inches long, flowers are yellow,
pods are two to fourteen inches long. There are yellow and green seeds called
fenugreek seeds. Fenugreek curry is eaten with great relish, especially in
almost all parts of Pakistan and India. It is a popular multi-use vegetable
whose leaves and seeds are also used as medicine.
In Latin it
is called Trigogella Foelum Graceum Linn. Fenugreek is used to make various
foods fragrant and flavorful. Fenugreek seeds are added to pickles. It is also
used in Greek and Ayurvedic medicine. Its curry is diuretic. Fenugreek is useful
in winter diseases, back pain, spleen, and arthritis. Fenugreek seeds are useful
in diseases. It is also often used in facelifts to remove blemishes on the
face.
Grind
fenugreek seeds in water and apply it on the scalp at least twice a week for
one hour and wash it to make the hair long and fall out. Fenugreek seeds are
used in gynecological diseases. Effective in uterine edema, pain, and other
gynecological diseases. Fenugreek kills small stomach worms (picks), improves
digestion. Very useful for phlegmatic people. Protects from cold. In the
villages, after the birth of a child, the mother is fed by making her fenugreek
balls.
If there is
chronic constipation due to intestinal weakness, then mixing fenugreek powder
with five grams of water in the morning and evening will not only cure chronic
constipation for a few days but will also strengthen the liver. Fenugreek is
also very useful in sugar and gout. For this, grind fresh fenugreek leaves in
10 grams of water and use it in the morning.
The
Miracles of Diabetes and Fenugreek
Fenugreek
has been found to be extremely effective in treating diabetes. A committee
comprising Dr. RD Sharma Ma Varghoram and other doctors from Anu Sindhan
Hyderabad (India) had been investigating the treatment of diabetes for a long
time. They used fenugreek seeds for thousands of patients. According to the
report of this committee, fenugreek seeds are useful in diabetes and heart
diseases. Grinding 20 grams of fenugreek seeds daily and eating it reduces the
amount of urine and blood sugar in just ten days. Although the patient's
self-esteem may be offset by a reduction in symptoms, it is best to have
regular diabetes tests every ten days.
Depending
on the sugar content, fenugreek seeds can be used up to 100 grams daily. In
this regard, fenugreek seeds can be used as lentils or cooked in a vegetable.
My method of using fenugreek seeds for diabetics is to grind fenugreek seeds
and use 10-10 grams of plain water in the morning, afternoon, and evening. There
are no known side effects.
According
to the report of the above committee, the use of fenugreek seeds is very useful
in diabetes. During this time it is important to avoid rice, potatoes, cabbage,
arvi bananas, and other sweets. A morning walk is also a must and remember that
there is no harm in using aloe vera medicine while using fenugreek.
